Jay Weinmiller started his photography career training in design at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. He soon transferred to photography at RCC in North Carolina, graduating in the top five of his class. Jay spent six years with the big studios in High Point, NC working on national accounts for Macy's, Bamburger's, West Point Pepperel, Hatteras Yacht's and Thomasville Furniture among many others.
Jay then traveled to Saudi Arabia for a year doing in-house contract work for a graphic firm "Yanbu-Al Sinai". He photographed the construction of an industrial city, covered the visits of foreign diplomats and the Royal Family along with producing many other images for commercial and personal projects.
In 1983, Jay was invited to join forces with a local architectural
photographer. As a result of the venture, Jay expanded his expertise,
knowledge and capabilities in yet another area of specialty photography.
In 1984, recognizing a niche in the commercial photography market, Jay opened his own studio, Weinmiller, Inc. in Charlotte, NC.
Since then Jay has maintained a successful commercial studio and a base of loyal clientele by creating high quality images for product packaging, catalogs, advertising and print campaigns. He has produced countless memorable photos for magazine covers, advertisements, apparel catalogs, industrial brochures, annual reports and NASCAR publications. Jay’s work has earned widespread respect among both his clients and his peers.
Whether shooting food, product, people, or industrial images, on location or in his 5,000 sq. ft. studio, Jay is part of a creative team that
consistently delivers top quality images perfectly suited for the
assignments at hand.
